She began singing at age 4. Her mother was encouraging her to invite her to audition for Sesame Street. The actress began her journey as regular performers in 1985 as a 6 year older on Sesame Street, a PBS children's show. Her acting career continued in New York City with many shows such as Fences which was a Broadway production, and Orfeo del Campo which was Off-Broadway's production. When she was sevenyears old, she appeared in Star Search and won twice, receiving a four-star rating after appearing two times.
