Claire Elise Boucher (/bu:'SeI/ boo-SHAY; born 17 March, 1988), known professionally as Grimes, is a Canadian artist, singer, writer, and record producer. Initial work has been called "lo-fi R&B to futuristic dance-pop",[4and influenced by hip-hop, electronic and rock. She is often incorporating science fiction and feminist themes throughout the lyrics. There have been five albums. Grimes is a native of Vancouver and later moved to Montreal. She started her independent career in the latter part of the 2000s. In 2010, she released two albums through Arbutus Records, Geidi Primes (and Halfaxa), respectively. The album was released in 2012 and Visions the third album she released on her studio. The band was signed to 4AD. Visions features the singles "Genesis," and "Oblivion" that was awarded an award called the Juno Award of the Canadian Music Industry for Electronic Album of the Years. Art Angels, her fourth studio album, debuted in the year 2015. Numerous publications praised it as the most successful album. Sixteen years later, her fifth studio album Miss Anthropocene, was out in 2020. Beyond the music industry, Grimes had a voice role in the 2020 action role-playing video game Cyberpunk 2077 and is a judge on the music competition game program Alter Ego. Georges Georges Georges
