In the series ABC Family/Freeform Young & Hungry and Young & Foodies between 2014 and 2018, she was Sofia Rodriguez. She played the role of She-Ra and Adora on the DreamWorks animated show She-Ra and The Princesses of Power under Netflix in the period from 2018 through 2020. Carrero as well as the actor Tim Rock were engaged in November of 2015. The couple got married in August of 2016. For Disney her role, she played the role of Princess Elena for Sofia the First and its spin-off series, Elena of Avalor.
